Never put gas cylinders in your household bins or skips at recycling centres. They might explode if crushed.
Try to return your gas bottle to where you bought it. You might get a refund.
At council recycling centres, gas bottles are accepted from householders only. We also accept Soda-stream bottles and small helium gas cylinders (for balloons).
We do not accept the following at recycling centres:
- Oxygen or medical gas cylinders. Return these to the NHS or supplier.
- Cylinders used for welding and cutting that contain acetylene, oxygen or similar.
- CO2 cylinders, from pubs for example - please return to the supplier
Sodastream canisters
Find shops which accept and exchange canisters on the Sodastream website.
