Our team

The Angus Council Vibrant Communities service has a dedicated youth work team.

The team works with young people aged 11 years and up, through individual and group work in schools and communities.

Through non-formal, educational and fun activities, they support young people's:

  • health and wellbeing
  • learning and achievement
  • Youth Voice and participation

A key feature of youth work is that young people choose to participate in activities voluntarily. They are also supported to set their own learning goals and learning is at their pace. Through this approach, young people can achieve key life skills.

The National Youth Work outcomes and skills framework gives examples of the outcomes young people can gain through involvement in youth work.
