Open data is data that anyone can access, use and share.
The Scottish Government has asked all organisations to develop and implement their own open data plan so that we can safely share information with other interested parties.
Angus Council recognises the value of data and we have developed an open data portal.
Using the portal, we will share data to:
- improve public services through public bodies making use of the data
- assist in the achieving wider social and economic benefits through innovative use of the data
- increase the accountability and transparency of delivery of our public services
