Voting by proxy

Voting by proxy means that you appoint someone else to vote on your behalf. This can be useful if you can't get to a polling station on polling day for example if you are abroad.

Remember you and your appointed proxy must be registered individually to apply.

To find out about voting by proxy, and to apply for a proxy vote in Angus, visit the Electoral Commission website or contact the electoral registration officer.

In certain circumstances, where you have an emergency that means you cannot go to the polling station in person you can apply for an emergency proxy.

Please contact the electoral registration officer for Angus for more information.
