The combined Records Management Plan for Angus Council and Angus Council Licensing Board was submitted to the Keeper of the Records of Scotland and approved, in accordance with the requirements of the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011. The plan is supported by over 60 pieces of evidence gathered from services across the council.
Using this corporate records management approach and continuing to progress the corporate Information Governance Improvement Plan will ensure the council continues to develop a fit-for-purpose framework for robust information governance.
It also demonstrates the value placed by the council on its information assets and how this will contribute effectively to the overall management of the organisation.
Progress Update Review
The Progress Update Review is a process which invited Angus Council and the Licensing Board to complete a review of its Records Management Plan one year after the date of agreement and every year thereafter.
The Review provides an opportunity for the council not simply to report on progress against improvements, but to comment on any new initiatives, highlight innovations, or record changes to existing arrangements
