What we need and why
The council is the ‘Data Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. Angus Council’s contact centre provides a ‘one stop’ approach for customers contacting the Council by telephone, email, and through web chat. The personal information processed by contact centre staff will depend on the nature of the contact and the service/s requested but can include:
Name, address, contact details, date of birth, national insurance number email address, health/medical information. All information disclosed during the telephone conversation which may include personal and sensitive information and details of services received and/or required.
Who we share the information with
We will only share your information for the purpose it was collected for and only where it is necessary to effectively deliver our services. This might be because another agency has been contracted to provide a service, or because responsibility for particular services is shared across multiple agencies or authorities.
What we do with it
We process your data in order to provide you with the service you require.
Your personal information is held on servers within the EEA and processed by our staff in the UK.
The council maintains data protection controls in line with the General Data Protection Regulation, other data protection legislation and its own Information Security Policy to ensure the effective and secure processing of your personal information.
How long we keep it
We only keep your personal information for the minimum period necessary. The information outlined in this privacy notice will be kept in accordance with the retention period set with RingCentral of 90 days. The information is automatically deleted.
How we store your personal information
Your information is stored securely. RingCentral hold the recorded data the recorded data within the Ring Central Cloud environment.
