If you are at risk of losing your home or have nowhere to stay, we can help you by talking to you about your housing options. This can include carrying out a homeless assessment and helping you to find emergency housing.
You can get information and guidance on what type of housing you may need and what options are available in Angus by using our housing options wizard on our HomeFinder website.
We can also arrange to meet you to discuss what help we can give you. We’ll speak to you about your circumstances to help us determine your best housing option. Contact your local library or call our contact centre on 03452 777 778.
There are four elements that we will look into when assessing homelessness:
- Are you eligible for homeless assistance?
- Are you homeless?
- Have you become homeless intentionally?
- Do you have a local connection?
Once we’ve met with you, we will inform you of your decision in writing within 28 days.
You can find out more about your rights from Shelter or the Citizens Advice Bureau.
