The project has recently passed the halfway stage and works continue to progress on schedule, with a planned completion in September 2025. As works progress in to 2025, focus will move to the reconfiguration of the junctions and side roads, as well as the public realm spaces. During the works we will continue to focus on the flow of traffic through Arbroath using one-way systems and local diversions, over temporary traffic lights.

The next significant junction improvement will be at the harbour. The Marina roundabout will be removed to construct a new signal-controlled junction. The work will be carried out in stages and will require the following traffic control measures. These measures remove the need for temporary traffic lights at this junction during the works.

East Mary Street will be closed at its junction with the A92, with a local diversion in place via Millgate Loan, Millgate and Burnside Drive. Access will be maintained to Hannah Street and the school delivery entrance, via Millgate Loan.

Although a road closure will be in place, footpaths will remain open, and we would ask pedestrians to be considerate of the construction plant and workforce operating.
