With young people formally receiving their SQA exam results tomorrow (Tuesday 6 August), Convener of Family, Education and Justice Committee, Cllr Lynne Devine extends her best wishes to those eagerly awaiting their results:

“Best of luck to all our young people getting their SQA exam results tomorrow.  I am proud of you all for your hard work, determination and resilience.

“Regardless of the outcomes, remember these results are just one step in your journey. There are many paths to success. Stay positive, focused and continue to pursue your dreams. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

“I would also like to thank our staff for their dedication and efforts in preparing our young people for their exams, and of course our parents and carers for the ongoing support they provide to their children and our schools.”

All candidates will receive their results by post on Tuesday 6 August. Candidates who have activated their MySQA accounts, will also receive their results by text/email. If after receiving their results an awarded grade for a subject(s) does not seem right, young people have the opportunity to appeal. This service opens on 6 August 2024 via SQA’s website.

For dedicated results support, the Skills Development Scotland (SDS) Results Helpline is available to offer advice, information and guidance for young people and their parents and carers. The free helpline will open on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 August from 8am to 8pm, on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 August, from 9am to 5pm.

The number to call is 0808 100 8000.  SDS advisers are at the end of the phone to help young people and their parents and carers.
