We have now published our Local Housing Strategy 20-23-28.
It sets out the challenges and issues faced by our communities concerning housing and related services, as well as the actions that we, as your council, will take to try to address them.

The LHS was due to be published at the end of last year but, after Storm Babet hit, we felt it was right to put it on pause while the Council and our partners responded to the immediate impact of that dreadful weather event.
As well as providing our approach for the delivery of housing and related services over the period 2023-28, the LHS sets out the evidence base to help address the local housing challenges and contains the plans, priorities and commitments that will help us all work together to overcome those challenges.
Our LHS is ambitious, but it is also realistic. Ultimately and most importantly, it aims to make a difference to people’s lives.
