Proposed changes relating to on-street parking

We’re proposing to make some additions to waiting prohibitions and restrictions to on-street parking in parts of Angus. 

The Order is made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and is intended to improve visibility and prevent obstructions, relieve congestion and maintain access and free traffic flow.

Proposals are for - 

No waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) at the following junctions: 

Brechin Road/Grant Road, East Muirlands Road/Gallowden Avenue, East Muirlands Road/Muirton Road, East Muirlands Road/Roseville Place, Grant Road (A92)/Fisheracre (A92)/Barngreen/Brechin Road, Millfield Road/Millfield Road, Seaton Road/Horologe Hill, Seaton Road/Seaton Place, Seaton Road/Dickmont Place, all Arbroath; Airlie Street/Conveners Wynd, Latch Road/Provost Road, all Brechin; Barry Road/Panmure Street, Camus Street/Kinloch Street, Lochty Street/Lochty Street, all Carnoustie; High Street/Lethnot Road, Edzell; Gordon Street/Lilybank Crescent/Jamison Street, Montrose Road (B9113)/William Street/Jamieson Street/Yeaman Street, Turfbeg Road/North Loch Road, all Forfar; Dundee Road/Gardyne Street, Letham; North Bank Street/Paradise Road, Victoria Street/Lairds Walk, all Monifieth; Market Pend/Panmure Road, Monikie; and Glenesk Avenue/Glenprosen Street, John Street/Mill Street, The Maltings/Union Street, all Montrose. 

No waiting at any time restrictions on the following roads: 

Arbirlot Road West, Barngreen/Hamilton Green, Brechin Road, East Kirkton Road, East Newgate, Elliot Street, Glenesk Place, Grant Road, Mount Zion Brae, Seaton Road, all Arbroath; Lochty Street, Tiger Beach Drive, all Carnoustie; South Street, Montrose Road, all Forfar; Slade Road, Kirriemuir; Brook Street, Grange Road, Panmurefield Road, all Monifieth; Panmure Road, Monikie; and Beacon Terrace (Ferryden), Glenesk Avenue, Mill Lane, Mill Street, Newhame Road, all Montrose. 

Loading only restrictions (Mon-Sat 6am to 8.30am) at: 

East High Street, Forfar, and Ferry Street, Montrose. 

Removal of No waiting at any time restrictions on: 

East High Street, Forfar.

The proposals are open to consultation until Friday 16 May 2025.
