We have received notice of strike action from Unite the Union which will affect our waste services.
This strike action relates to a national dispute over pay and will involve the majority of councils in Scotland.
Strike action is planned to take place 14 August to 21 August and will disrupt most of our waste and recycling collection services.
Please put your bins out as normal and we will collect if we can, bearing in mind all routes will be facing major disruption. You can also check on daily disruptions in your area on our dedicated bin strike update web page which can be found here – www.angus.gov.uk/binstrikes
If your garden waste bin is not collected due to the strike, your subscription will be extended by the equivalent number of collections. This will be done automatically – there’s no need to contact us.
All recycling centres will also be closed over this period but will operate normal opening times between today and the start of the strike period on the 14 August.
