Resurfacing and drainage work will begin on A933 north of Friockheim from Thursday 18 August and is scheduled to last for approx. eight working days.
The work is being carried out on the main route from Arbroath to Brechin and will result in some restrictions for vehicular traffic. The works are to be split into two phases each lasting approx. 4 days. Phase one will be carried out under temporary traffic signals and phase two consists of a road closure between the hours of 0900 – 1600, outside of these times temporary traffic signals will be in operation. The signed diversion route will be as follows:
A933 – Cairnie Road, Arbroath – Montrose Road, Arbroath – A92 – A934 and the reverse
Vehicle access to properties will be extremely limited during working hours and anyone requiring access/egress should speak to Roads Staff at the work site and they will assist.
The contractor will try to allow access to driveways overnight, where safe to do so and will try to maintain access at weekends.
Bin collections will not be affected and bins should be put out as normal.
Please contact Angus Council if you, or anyone you know who lives or works in the affected area has any special needs, particularly with regard to access or mobility and we will make any necessary arrangements.
Public transport will be affected by the work and notices will be posted at bus stops to inform of any changes and alternative stops.
We appreciate this work may cause some inconvenience and thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation. Anyone requiring further information can email Roads@Angus.gov.uk or contact via ACCESSLine on 03452 777 778.
