For updates on disruption to the wider roads network, please see Traffic Scotland.

Due to the severe weather conditions, it is possible that roads will be closed quickly with little warning. Please do not ignore Road Closed signs. Signs will be removed when a road can be safely re-opened.

People must also understand that many roads will be flooded and not marked as closed. Do NOT attempt to drive through flooded roads. We are also expecting more fallen trees to create further hazards.

Current Police Scotland advice is not to travel unless essential. The fewer vehicles on the road, the safer everyone will be and the better access for emergency services.

This weekend the ACCESSLine is available from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday to manage roads, flooding and homeless calls. All other out of hours will go through as normal.

Another update is scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday 22 October) at approximately 8.30am
