As of 5.30pm today the following roads in Angus are confirmed as being closed due to Storm Babet -
B9128 road between Craichie & Hillend.
C12 road between Fowlis Village Hall and the junction with the A923 Coupar Angus to Dundee road.
A92 Lower Northwater Bridge (on bridge only) north of Montrose.
North Latch Road, Brechin.
C6 off of B954 at Eastfield House.
Due to the severe weather conditions, it is possible that roads will be closed quickly with little warning. Please do not ignore Road Closed signs. Signs will be removed when a road can be safely re-opened.
People must also understand that many roads will be flooded and not marked as closed. Do NOT attempt to drive through flooded roads. We are also expecting more fallen trees to create further hazards.
Current Police Scotland advice is not to travel unless essential. The fewer vehicles on the road, the safer everyone will be and the better access for emergency services.
