Before buying a residential caravan, follow these simple rules:
Do:
- always seek advice from a trusted financial person such as your bank or independent financial advisor before making any transactions regards the sale or purchase of any property (including residential or static caravan/park home)
- always seek out residents of any caravan park or site where you are thinking of moving to about what life is like on site
- always ensure any agreement to buy a residential or static caravan/park home is a written agreement and approved by your own solicitor
Don't:
- enter into a purchase of a residential or static caravan/park home on the basis of a verbal agreement, no matter how much you trust the owner or site owner
- buy any residential or static caravan/park home without the advice of your own solicitor
- buy any residential or static caravan/park home without a detailed legally binding contract drawn up by your solicitor
