Non-recyclable waste (general waste) - available throughout Angus

Non-recyclable waste (general waste) can be collected in any bin size ranging from 140 to 1280 litres, or sacks if you have no room for a bin.

Charges are based on the size of bin and number of uplifts carried out per year. 

Paper/card - available throughout Angus

It is the law for businesses to separate materials for recycling.

Paper/card can be collected in any bin size ranging from 140 to 1280 litres on a four weekly basis. Charges are based on the size of bin and the number of uplifts carried out per year.

Clean, dry paper and card can go in the bin, flat packed is best to save space.

Plastic bottles and containers, cans and cartons - available throughout Angus

It is the law for businesses to separate materials for recycling.

Plastic bottles and containers, cans and cartons can be collected in any bin size ranging from 140 to 1280 litres on a four weekly basis. Charges are based on the size of bin and the number of uplifts carried out per year.

The items in your grey recycling bin can only be recycled if they are clean, loose and dry. Do not put items in a plastic bag before you put them in the bin.

Food waste – available in all Angus towns

You must recycle food waste if your business produces 5kg or more of food waste (unless excluded by rural location. 

Cooked and raw food waste is collected weekly in 23 litre caddies or 140 litre bins. Charges are based on the size of bin and number of uplifts per year.

Mixed glass

We offer a weekly mixed glass collection service for customers who have larger amounts of glass. All colours of glass are collected together separate from the mixed recycling service.  Glass bins are provided free of charge. There is a small annual collection charge.

Cardboard - available in all towns

A weekly cardboard collection is provided for a small annual collection charge to our general waste customers. Cardboard must be free from contamination such as food waste, plastic wrappings, polystyrene or string. For collection, boxes should be flattened and placed inside one large box or in a 1280 litre bin.
