If you have had sickness and diarrhoea that you believe has been caused by something you've had to eat or drink:
-
contact your doctor's surgery and make arrangements to submit a stool specimen
If it is confirmed as food poisoning, environmental health will be automatically notified.
An environmental health officer may then contact you to find out how you may have picked up this illness. They can also give you advice.
We may take samples or carry out an investigation at premises suspected of being the source of the illness. We will inform you of the outcome of any investigation.
