As the school year ends on Friday 28 June, Convener of Family, Education and Justice, Cllr Lynne Devine, extends warm wishes for a safe and happy summer holiday to all children, young people, teachers and staff at Angus schools.
“As we near the end of the school term, I want to acknowledge the incredible efforts and achievements of our children, young people, teachers and school staff throughout the year. It has been a year of hard work, dedication and remarkable progress.
“Well done to our young people for their determination and hard work in preparing for their exams. To our school leavers, I wish you the very best as you embark on your next journey, whether in the workforce or further education.
“We look forward to welcoming our new primary one children in August. This significant milestone is an exciting time for both children and their families, and I am confident our teachers and support staff will make sure it is a smooth transition.
“I want to thank all the teachers and staff who have gone above and beyond to provide quality education, guidance and support to our children and young people. Your dedication is truly commendable.
“I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the summer, whether that means visiting a local park, spending time at the beach or remember we’ve a range of activities available through our holiday food and fun programme. For those in or visiting Forfar, don’t miss out on the new Whitehills Primary School ice cream trail – it’s a great way to explore the area.
“I hope everyone takes the opportunity to rest, recharge and have a wonderful summer break, hopefully with some good weather.
“We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for the new school year in August.”
