As we welcome the start of a new school year (Tuesday 13 August), Convener of Family, Education and Justice, Cllr Lynne Devine extends a warm welcome to children, young people, parents/carers and school staff.
Cllr Devine said:
“I am thrilled to welcome back our young people and staff for what promises to be an exciting and productive school year. A special welcome to our new primary 1 children and those making the transition to S1. These are key moments in your education journey and we look forward to supporting you every step of the way.
“I hope everyone had a lovely summer break and managed to relax and have a good time.
“Wishing you all a fantastic first day back at school. Let’s make this a school year to remember!”.
