The new school friendly zone restrictions, where certain vehicles are prohibited from entering the affected streets, will be enforced by Police Scotland. The penalty for ignoring the signs will be a fine of £50.
The new parking restrictions implemented on surrounding streets, which are necessary as part of the trial and are indicated by double yellow lines and associated kerb markings, will be enforced by the Council’s Community Enforcement Team. The existing parking restrictions in these surrounding streets will continue to be enforced by the Community Enforcement Team. Contravention of the parking restrictions will result in a fine of £100 reducing to £50 if paid within 14 days.
