Digital Lifelines Angus

We have funding from Digital Lifelines Scotland to support people without internet access and devices, who are at risk of drug-related harm and are, or have recently been:

  • homeless

  • released from custody

  • in hospital or a residential service

The project aims to provide people with access to the internet to support recovery. This could be any variation of equipment, such as phones or tablets, a SIM card and Mifi, or both. We have received our allocation of computer tablets with one year’s access to the internet.

We have also teamed up with the Angus Council Vibrant Communities Team, which has skills and expertise across Angus to support people with digital knowledge and qualifications if appropriate.

The project started in September 2023 and will run until December 2024.

Training

We have access to two hour Digital Champions training on offer through SCVO for those supporting people using devices to aid recovery.

We also have a two hour session for Breaking Free Online to support those using the devices. The training is open to staff, volunteers and family members.
