Sheltered and retirement housing

You can find retirement and sheltered housing on Angus HomeFinder

If you're interested in a property, you need to let us know — this is called "bidding."

How to apply

  1. First, register on our Common Housing Register by filling out application for housing
  2. You cannot bid on properties until your application is approved and active.
  3. If you need help with the online form or finding properties, contact us or visit a library.

Retirement housing

  • You must be 60 or older to apply for these homes.

Sheltered housing

  • These homes are self-contained but often have shared spaces, like a lounge.
  • No extra assessment is needed—you can bid directly on properties.
  • We will consider factors like your suitability for sheltered housing and the needs of other tenants.
  • Applications are processed based on priority level and application date.

Facilities

  • Available in all major towns and villages in Angus.
  • Most locations have a communal lounge, and some also have a laundry and guest room.
  • If you need help with personal care, talk to your care manager if you have one or contact us.
