You will probably need a building warrant if you are considering:
- building
- altering
- extending
- converting
- or demolishing a building
A building warrant is entirely separate from planning permission. Sometimes both a building warrant and planning permission are needed.
If you are unsure whether you require a Building Warrant, please complete our online form below and one of our officers will contact you.
Starting work without a building warrant is an offence and could lead to a fine of up to £5000. If you have inadvertently started work before applying, you must declare this on the application form and cease building work until the warrant is approved.
