Request a disabled parking bay

You are entitled to request a disabled parking bay if:

  • you are a blue badge holder
  • the registered keeper of the vehicle has the same address as that of the blue badge holder
  • you do not have an existing driveway
  • the vehicle is kept at the blue badge holder's address

If you think you may qualify contact us using our enquiry form.

We will require to see your vehicle registration documents. If your car has been acquired through Motability you may not be in possession of your vehicle registration document. You can request a copy through the Motability website.

If you have lost or misplaced your vehicle registration document visit the GOV.UK website for further information.

Following a successful assessment, and once we have received all the required documents, we would aim to install the bay within six months.

We will promote a traffic order for the installation of a new disabled bay. Once this is in place, it will be legally enforceable, and cases of abuse can be reported to the parking attendants.

Disabled bays are provided for general use by any blue badge holder and will not be allocated to private individuals. A valid blue badge must be displayed in the windscreen when a vehicle is parked in the bay.
