Blue Badges

The Blue Badge scheme supports people who cannot easily get around by helping them park closer to their destination. Blue Badges are also known as disabled parking permits. They are valid for up to three years.

We don't send out reminders when badges are due to expire. You can reapply 18 weeks before your badge is due to expire.

Payment and charges

If your application is successful, and we have contacted you requesting payment for your badge, you can pay online using the following link.

Pay for a Blue Badge

When we receive your payment we will send you your badge, parking clock and a booklet listing your rights and responsibilities as a blue badge holder.

Charges

A new Blue Badge costs £20.

A replacement for a lost, stolen or damaged badge costs £4.60.

There is no charge if you are:

  • 16 or under
  • under 19 and in full-time non-advanced education
