Brown: food waste

Food waste collections are being extended to around 4000 extra households, in areas between villages and towns already receiving the service.

Food waste collections will not be available in the glens. Food waste is accepted at recycling centres.

Indoor and outdoor caddies

Use the indoor caddy to collect food waste in your kitchen before placing in the larger outdoor caddy.

You can use any liner for the indoor caddy. Plastic liners are removed during processing and disposed of.

Collections

The food waste caddy is collected weekly - find your collection day.
