The public tennis courts in West Links Park, Arbroath have been officially reopened (Monday 11 September) after a £57,198 renovation, managed by Angus Council and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), helping to ensure that quality facilities are available for the local community.

Brechin High School is securing a lease of land from Scotia Homes to develop an allotment and food forest for the school and local community to offer rural learning and improve wellbeing and sustainability opportunities. Mrs Margo Williamson, Chief Executive of Angus Council today, Thursday 24 August, announced her retirement. Margo has worked for Angus Council since 2013, initially as Strategic Director of People before becoming the first female Chief Executive in Angus in 2017.

The 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships Gran Fondo Time Trials will take place in Angus and Dundee on Monday 7 August. The Gran Fondo Time Trials event will see international elite amateur competitors race a distance of just over 14 miles, against the clock, along the A92 westbound carriageway in Angus.

Drivers who commit a parking offence will see an increased cost in the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) from Saturday 1 July. It is the first increase in the PCN in 30 years and is in response to new national guidelines issued by the Scottish Government after consultation with the public and local authorities, and agreement with CoSLA.
