Servicing and testing

We are required by law to carry out:

  • annual servicing of gas heating systems
  • electrical testing
  • upgrades to LD2 Smoke alarm systems

As a tenant you must provide access to your property for these.

Gas servicing

We want to keep you safe in your home. To do this, we need to carry out at least one gas safety visit to your home every year. It’s the law for all responsible landlords.

Every year you’ll receive a letter with a date for your next visit. If it’s not a good time, get in touch using the contact details on the letter to rearrange the appointment. Make sure you are at home on the day of your gas safety check.

We will provide you with a copy of the inspection report within 28 days of the inspection.

If you miss this safety check and any rearranged appointments, we may force entry to your home – and all costs will be charged to you.
